Bigger, better, faster

Hello Reader,

1. A quick word from Zach

I feel the pull toward bigger, better, faster all the time. But the more I sit with it, the more I’m realizing that not every urgent feeling is a faithful one - and not everything worth building can be rushed.

2. Something worth listening to

“Embracing a Generational Strategy” - Church and Family Life

This is a fitting companion to this issue because it pushes us to think beyond immediate results and recover a longer horizon. Faithful work is often measured across generations, not just in what we can see right now.

3. Something worth thinking about

Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
and establish the work of our hands upon us;
yes, establish the work of our hands!

~ Psalm 90:17

That's enough for this time. Remember, the drift of life rarely takes you where you'd choose to go. Go somewhere on purpose!

P.S. As I plan for future issues of Dear Sam, I'd love your input. If I were to go deeper into one of the following, which would you choose? Hit reply, and let know!

  • Reclaiming time and margin
  • Increasing profits for the business
  • Learning to multiply time through delegation
  • Leading at home and at work
  • Something else?

To thriving,

Zach Wise
